Are Curved Kitchen Doors more expensive?2023-04-28T13:37:08+00:00

Curved kitchen doors can be more expensive than standard doors due to the extra level craftsmanship involved. 2mm thick boards are stacked and glued together and then pressed to create the curve.

Handles or handleless kitchen doors?2023-03-28T10:34:23+00:00

J-pull doors have a J shape in the door itself and true handleless don’t. A rail behind the door creates a space for fingers to open it. Handless kitchens can create a modern uncluttered look, gives you more space and are particularly good for open plan kitchens. Handless can actually be a cheaper option but may be less practical for those with mobility issues or long fingernails (for example) as opening doors may be a little harder.

How are curved doors made?2023-06-22T08:35:50+00:00

Curved doors are made by stacking and then gluing 2 mm thick boards on top of each other. The stack is then pressed into the curved shape and dried quickly using radio waves. When the glue sets, the curved shape remains rigid. For more details on the process see here.

Are curved doors hard to fit?2023-03-08T15:39:28+00:00

Curved doors are no harder to fit than standard flat doors provided that the correct door has been purchased to fit the cabinet. They are fitted in exactly the same way.
